We just had our third tournament of the season down in Austin, TX - the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. It was an exciting event, and we had our best team round of the season during the first round - a score of 4 under! Our team fought and focused hard throughout the three rainy days, and we ended up in 5th place overall. We finally beat some teams that we hadn’t in the past two tournaments, so it was nice to finally have success there. This tournament really allowed us to see what we are capable of, and see that our team can take it low. I have a really good feeling about our next tournament down in San Antonio, and I am excited for our future as a team.
I had a really good tournament down in Austin, and it was nice that I had some friends and family come out to watch me play. I put together my best three day total (3 under) and on the last round I had my first every bogey free round - leading to a nice little 69. I have a lot of confidence in my game at the moment, and I am really excited about how I am fighting and focusing out on the golf course. My game has improved a lot in this past year, and I am just going to keep on working on it - and getting to be the best that I can possibly be.
